The arteries and veins of the lower limb, from the femoral vessels to the vessels of the foot.
The external iliac artery becomes the femoral artery under the inguinal ligament, continues as the popliteal artery behind the knee and divides into the anterior and posterior tibial arteries. The deep veins accompany the arteries, while the great and small saphenous veins form the superficial venous system.
