The mammary gland, with its lobes, lactiferous ducts and adipose tissue.
The breast lies on the pectoralis major muscle and is divided into 15–20 lobes, each drained by a lactiferous duct that opens at the nipple. It is supported by the suspensory ligaments, and most of its lymph drains to the axillary lymph nodes.
