Head Lymphatic system

Head (Lymphatic system), anterior viewHead (Lymphatic system), lateral viewHead (Lymphatic system), posterior viewHead (Lymphatic system), medial view

The lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels of the head, draining towards the cervical lymph nodes.

Lymph from the head drains into superficial groups of nodes, including the occipital, mastoid, parotid, submandibular and submental nodes. These in turn drain into the deep cervical nodes along the internal jugular vein, and from there into the jugular lymphatic trunk.
