The nerves of the lower limb shown with the muscles they innervate.
The superior and inferior gluteal nerves innervate the gluteal muscles, and the femoral nerve the quadriceps femoris. The tibial nerve supplies the posterior compartment of the leg and the sole of the foot, while the deep and superficial fibular nerves supply the anterior and lateral compartments.
